Since I just had my first ever boudoir giveaway (Congrats Angela S!) I thought I would show you what my boudoir albums look like. I love these little albums so much!
Let’s talk about the product details.. these babies are all made by hand in the U.S.! I love that. The company that I order them from is also one of the greenest album companies around. The albums are made from as many natural, post consumer, and reyclable materials as possible.. but don’t let that fool you, these albums are rated to last 100+ years! My favorite part of designing the albums is picking out your cover material. There are so many different beautiful faux leather and linnen materials to pick from, I guarantee there is one in there that fits your personality to a T!! When we have our viewing/ordering session I’ll bring my cover samples so you can not only see but touch each material so that you can pick the one that speaks to you the most. The cover shown in the photos is ‘Texas Tea’ from the Happy Cow collection, a black faux leather material.
So, let’s talk about WHY I love them so much! I love them because they are real, because I can touch them, and hold them, and smell them. Now, if you are one of those techy people that just love everything digital then you might not like them as much as I do. 🙂 But I am one of those people that collect paper things: notebooks, papers, pens, pencils, photographs, books.. I like to have something tangible and real. I am much more likely to jot notes down in a cute little notebook with my favorite pen then put it in my phone or on a word doc.. and then I go back later and re-write the note so that it is pretty! (I know, I’m odd). And that also means that my house is full of notebooks and loose papers. I’m sure my husband loves it. 😉 And sometimes, just sometimes, I acutally use a pencil. Gasp! Not like a mechanical pencil either, like a real actual pencil that you have to sharpen. There is just something about the way a pencil moves across the paper that makes my heart happy. But that’s also why I love these albums so much, there is just something about having a beautiful, thick paged, book of photographs that is so timeless and luxourious. I also love that they are discrete, you can put these on your hubby’s (our yours!) night stand or on your book shelf and no one would even know. Kind of exciting huh?!
Leave me a comment and let me know what your favorite way to display your photographs are!
