I have been gone from the blog for a while. 🙁 I am just not great at blogging. And I don’t want to be one of those people that are constantly apologizing for not blogging for a while because I know I’ll be apologizing basically every post… and that can get old.
So anyway, I’ve been busy.. really I have. In February I went down to Las Vegas to go to WPPI and I had an AMAZING time! I went to some great classes, and saw some incredible photographers speak, and I have a notebook full of notes that I still haven’t had a chance to read over again. I met some very talented photographers from all over the country (and even some from out of the country!). Big huge Thank You to Jen from Poise Photography for letting me stalk her and helping me feel more at ease (I’m not a fan of big crowds.. especially when I don’t know anyone there!) and another big huge Thank You to Kelly from Kelly Szott Photography and Unlaced Photography for befriending me and keeping me entertained in class! I really am so grateful for you ladies and I’m so happy to have met so many wonderful people.
As soon as I got home from Vegas we found a new place to live and we ended up moving with only two weeks notice. It was incredibly stressful but I am loving our new place. And right after that my beautiful daughter turned 1 year old.. is it years with a ‘s’ or just year?? Anyway, I can’t believe she is so big already. I swear it was not that long ago that I was begging my husband to let me have a baby and now I have her and she’s already a toddler! And then right after that my awesome husband had his birthday and turned the big 26. A quarter of a century down! So we’ve been really busy around my house lately but I think things are starting to calm down now. 🙂 Whewh!
I am going to leave you with a picture I took a few days ago. This is just behind our house… have I mentioned how much I love the mountains? These aren’t the huge Wasatch Mountains, they are the smaller Oquirrh Mountains but they are just as beautiful. I don’t think I could ever live anywhere without mountains.. Seriously. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do.
